Ingredient challenge: Frozen cukes

I left a bag of twelve Diva cukes in the garage, and they froze just about all the way through. Can anyone think of a tasty way to use them? Kind of the wrong time of year for gazpacho but if it comes down to that, so be it. Any other ideas? Thanks!

  1. I made agua fresca with excess cukes this summer and I imagine that since texture doesn't matter much, you might be able to use them for some kind of similar drink. Just peel, seed and chop roughly, whir in the blender with some water and sugar and maybe some spirits?

      Bon Appetit or Gourmet had a drink like this in the mag over the summer made w/ gin.

    2. Tzatziki sauce for a couple of them?

      1. Pickle relish comes to mind.

        Along the lines of the cocktail suggestions above, you could use them to infuse some vodka. I've never tasted cucumber-infused vodka, mind you, but why not?

        2. Julia Child has a recipe somewhere for simple sauteed cucumbers. They are very good. I think it's worth an experiment with your frozen cukes.

          1. Thanks for all the great ideas! I think I'll juice most of them for alocholic drink experiments (might be good in a bloody mary as well as gimlets and martinis), and make a little tzatziki with some goat milk yogurt I have hanging around.
