Best NYC area cinnamon buns

I promised my friend to get her the BEST cinnamon buns ever if she broke up with her loser boyfriend. Well, she did (yay!) and now I need to know where to get the best, gooey, cinnamon buns ever! Help! Willing to go off the beaten path.

        1. The sticky buns at the Bouchon Bakery are AMAZING. They are pecan-y, which may not be what you are looking for, but I love them dearly. Balthazar's are also famous but not as good imo.
          This may sound odd but the ones at Fairway are also really good, particularly if you get them fresh.

            1. wm. greenberg has schnecken, pecan sticky bun basically, pricey but worth it, should come with a pass to the gym though
