Traditional Petit Fours- Where to Buy

Hello - I need to find a bakery or restaurant in NYC that sells traditional petit fours - the small sponge cake topped with fondant, usually decorated with piped flowed - about the size of a quarter. Any help is greatly appreciated as I need them for tomorrow. Thanks!

Thank you so much for the ideas. I am calling Delicia and La Bergamotte first thing in the morning. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Payard today. I called at 9am and was told they have traditonal petit fours (upon my explanation of sponge cake and fondant icing) and even had 3 flavors to choose from (chocolate, pisatchio and and orange) and you could not special order, they were sold by the dozed for $26.00. After going tonight, that is not the case, the petit four they offer are little choclate moon shaped cake, nothing like was described via the phone this morning and had to deal with an extremely pretentious manager. Who know a petit four could cause so much angst! Thank you very much for you ideas and help!

Give Payard a call, they might have it.

I think that La Bergamotte has them. You'd better call first. It's among the bast French bakeries in NYC. It's in Chelsea.

I've seen pretty ones in the bakery case at the Columbus Circle Whole Foods. They're a bit bigger than the traditional square petit fours, and they're rectangular. I'm curious about how they taste, because they look lovely.

Whole Foods in Columbus Circle saved the day! They offer the petit fours in chocolate, raspberry and vanilla and are delicious. Thank you so much for the recommendation.
