Tasting Room Restaurant: closed for good?

The Tasting Room has been a regular on our list for NYC visits since their days on the L.E.S. when they only had 6 or 8 tables. We're getting ready for our next trip, in Feb, and were surprised to see the message on the website that both locations have closed, no details given. Anyone know what happened? Are the chefs and/or owners moving elsewhere?

No reason was ever given but Chef Colin Alveras has a goodbye comment here:

Alveras is involved in some upcoming projects, not yet open. (The projected openings dates were pretty optimistic.
