Best hangover food for New Year's Day?
Last year I did Sapp coffee shop and loved filling my alcohol soaked belly with spicy pork blood thickened broth.
What would be good this year? I think it needs to be somewhere grimy, cheap and low key.

I ended up returning to Sapp with four other people. After a few Thai iced teas, the hardcore boat noodles, some jade noodles, crab fried rice and others, we all walked away feeling immensely human.
I've come to the conclusion that New Year's Day hangover cures need to be painful. You have to barely make it to the restaurant alive. In fact, after two years in a row, I'm going to make it a New Year's Day tradition.

Go to Pepy's Galley at the bowling alley on Venice. Order machaca and chilaquiles with a side of salsa and share with a friend.
Or go to Santouka in Mitsuwa and get some steaming ramen, not grimy but one of the best hangover cures ever.
Happy new year!
