Ten Best Dishes?
It's that time of year, namely the end, and that means lots of "ten best" lists. I was poking around the LA Weekly again and found this, the ten supposedly best dishes of 2008:

I don't know how you even really quantify that, but it's kind of fun anyway. And besides, mole is one of my favorites. What's up with that coffee in a track-jacket, though?

They need to make a top ten list of candidates to fill the editors job.
Trying desperately to fill up page space. certainly these dishes aren't from 2008, not even from this century or perhaps even the last.
Too subjective to be of any real use.
