Last Hurrah or Motivational Treat?

If you are like many of us and are getting ready to vow once again to eat healthier and shed those holiday extra pounds.....what would you choose for your one indulgence either for your 'last hurrah' or as an incentive to keep you motivated to shed the 'holiday 10'? After reading the top ten thread....I'm thinking that my incentive meal might involve a warm lobster roll from Neptune or perhaps something outrageous from Flour come February or so. What indulgence might you choose if you could only choose one?

  1. I would definitely go for the Gypsy Pancake from Cafe Polonia. For the unfamiliar, the Gypsy Pancake consists of actually 2 large potato pancakes with hungarian goulash sandwiched in between. It's then topped with a few dollops of sour cream. Wash it down with a few Polish beers and you are in heaven.

      I'd go for the blowout too, buttered lobster roll sounds fun. Whatever your fave homecooking stuff is like mac n cheese or fried chicken. Big cheeseburger and onion rings from Bartley's. So many to choose from.

    2. Sounds kind of counter intuitive to be bad before you want to be good. How about buying yourself some great spices that you may need to step up your challenge?

      1. I like the idea of a motivational treat ... for example, if you lose 10 lbs you can treat yourself to a lobster roll (and then get right back on the wagon the next day) I agree with treb that the pre-diet blowout doesn't make sense.

        For me, my treat would probably be some good Mexican food at Angela's or Taqueria la Mexicana.
