need a west village "fun" dinner place

Need a fun, not too pricey, dinner place for a girl’s night out for a small group of 5. I would sacrifice food for fun atmosphere. Any suggestions? Much appreciated.

    big fan of Alta too.
Also Kingswood on 10th st., P*Ong is a little more reserved but they have fun cocktails and dessert tastings

ugh, bar q's food is horrible and the service is worse...real shame since i do love annisa.

try l'artusi...food wont set you on fire but its solid enough, decently priced and definitely lively since it recently opened. ask to sit on the main floor if you want more of a scene.

Highline is supposed to be good. Haven't been, but I've heard good things. Also, Vento is a cute atmosphere. Food is very average though. I also like Matador, great tapas and sangria. Not a super "trendy" place though.
