Tea Room?

Does anyone have any suggestions for a Tea Room? My husband and I have been to Tea with an Accent in Yardley and loved it - but we are looking to expand our horizons a bit.
Any suggestions?

Many Thanks!

  1. I don't know how far you're willing to travel, but the Hill Tea Bar in Chestnut Hill is a pleasant space with lots of unusual tea options.

Where is the Hill Tea Bar - have not noticed it on the Hill. Much thanks.

Has anyone tried the Tea Fairy on Germantown Pike in the Lafayette strip mall

It's on Hartwell Avenue, right off Germantown where the Garden Gate cafe used to be (and Garden Gate Antiques still is). The owner, Pam, is very nice and knowledgeable about teas. They are also having a monthly wine tasting series, and some evenings with live music.

        Here's their website: http://www.thehillteabar.com/

I wish them luck - that spot has been the death knell for a number of prior cafe's - it just does not seem to get the traffic.

    2. Coventry Tearoom outside of Pottstown. On Rte 23 west of the intersection w/ Rte 100. BTW, the drive out Rte 23 west toward amish country is a great scenic trip.

      1. I have not been there myself but I heard Cafe Tea on Main Street in Ambler is really good.

Oh, John says the lady that runs that place is a real dear. We really have to go there sometime, thanks for the reminder AmblerGirl.

        2. My wife, daughter, and granddaughters all love the Talking Teacup in Chalfont.

Where is that bucksguy? I keep meaning to go to the tea room in Lansdale but I'm not sure it's there anynore.

It's on the corner of 202 & Skyline Dr., next to the 7-11 and just down the street from St. Jude's Church.

Oh Thanks! Every once in awhile John and I hit the Skyline bar for some brews and cheap dinner specials so I know where that is.

          2. There is a tea room in the 1814 House in Doylestown also.

            1. The tea room in Lansdale is still open. They even have breakfast by appointment. I was skulking around there today while I was waiting for my thai nadia order and checked it out. They close at two or something but they had a big lit Christmas tree inside. Someday I'll make it there.

              1. There is the Lederach Tea house as well. We recently had lunch there and it is really quaint.

Thanks! Love the Lederach Tea House. The fam and I go every year for breakfast on Christmas Eve. This was our 20th year - always been a hit. :)

It is one of our lunch spots. I adore the Avocado BLT.

                2. Try Lansdale Thyme for Tea. Reservations are necessary, and it's a bit stiff - but that's the tea room style, I guess. The tea selection is excellent, and the staff and proprietrix are very warm and helpful.
For something totally different, warm, and wonderful, take the train to Tea and Sympathy in Greenwich Village (Manhattan) - try the Toad in the Hole.

                  1. We went to the Lincoln Room in Westchester over the summer and we liked it:

                    1. Tilly Mint's Tea Room in Souderton. Lovely food and tea. The chef/owner, Trish Stubbs, is a warm and gracious hostess. The food, tea, decor, and sale items all stem from her family memories. It's a great find!
