good cheap dinner downtown?

I'm going to the opera in a few weeks with a friend...problem being we spent all our spare change on tickets. Any good recommendations on where we could go for dinner - all gussied up - eat well and still be able to leave a tip?

Wood Spoon for Brazilian
Blossom for Vietnamese
Spitz for doner kebab
Haru Ulala for Japanese
Colori Kitchen for Italian, but check which days it's open first.
(I think Suehiro is not so good anymore and Daikokuya might be a touch too informal).

i second haru ulala. it's very good and not too pricey at all. Spitz may work also, it's really good.

All good choices, but patty don't you think Wood Spoon, Spitz and even Colori might be a tad too informal if you're "all gussied" up for the opera?
