Sweet Bites Cafe, West Acton

I noticed this place a few weeks ago, and decided to stop in for a quick bite while in the area this morning. It is surprisingly good. We had breakfast sandwiches on large, buttery croissants, very good homefries, and a small broccoli-cheddar quiche. Coffee and espresso were solid, and the pastries, both quality and selection, looked really good. Unfortunately we didn't have any room for the donut muffins, but they looked great. They also had gorgeous buche de noel. The sandwich menu looked decent, too.

The cafe is open for breakfast and lunch. You order at the counter and someone brings the food to you, so it has more of a casual, hang-out coffee shop feel than a sit-down restaurant.

It's a local rather than destination bakery, but the quality and selection are definitely a step up for the area. It's nice to finally have a good place to head to in the Acton/Concord area. I'll try the sandwiches next time we order out at work and report. Anyone else been?

  1. My father absolutely loves the donut muffins and will stop by at least once a week for one. Their coffee's pretty good too.

I haven't had a chance to stop by for a sandwich, but if I get a chance, I'll let you know.
