Ideas for harissa dipping sauce for fried seafood?

We're doing some deep-fried seafood as a course in our New Year's Eve dinner, which will otherwise be mostly Middle Eastern-ish. I thought it would be nice to do a dipping sauce made with harissa, but am having trouble figuring out what might work. Should I do something that's a yogurt/sour cream base? Thick or thin? What other flavors - lemon/lime? Any ideas? Thanks!

  1. definitely plain yogurt, add a little EVOO and lemon juice, tahini if you have it, and minced garlic. Then stir in the harissa until you get the amount of heat you like.

      Thanks- that's exactly what I was imagining, except for the fact that I was feeling culinarily-brain-dead and couldn't actually imagine it in any detail. Much appreciated!!
