What is the best place in Philly and/or western suburbs to purchase smoked Nova Scotia salmon? Is there any place that hand slices it?

There used to be at least one type of smoked salmon at Chef's Market that was hand sliced. Haven't bought it there recently, so I can't swear to it. Chef's Market (2nd and South) and Coastal Cave in the RTM both have several varieties - Nova, Irish, Scottish, etc

A company in West Chester, Sugartown Smoked Specialities makes an excellent nova style smoked salmon. Check it out on their website, smokedfoods.com and you can purchase it at their retail outlet at the Wayne farmers market on Lancaster pike in Wayne.

Hymie's Deli on Montgomery Avenue in Merion hand slices both Nova as well as Lox. Pricey as heck, but it is perfect! I believe that Murray's , which is down the street a block away from Hymie's does hand slicing,as well.

Costco, pre-sliced in the package. I'm not kidding.
