Storing sopressata

A buddy of mine gave me a couple home-made sopressata that his mother from the old country had made. Does anyone know the proper means of storing it? I'd hate for it to go bad before I use it.

  1. I would just wrap it in plastic and put it in the fridge.

    1. I assume that the salsiccia is cured. You may want to slice it and make several plastic wrapped packets of a few serving sizes each before freezing it. If it is not cured, it may need to be cooked before ingesting any of it.
