Just returned to Ocean Cafe, in Shrewsbury (Rt 35). My 3rd meal there in 2 weeks.
Soups are awesome. Pasta Fogoli (sp?), Mushroom, Butternut squash... all tried and great.
Went for the london broil wraps the first couple times... great meat and well dressed. Had the tuna steak sandwich yesterday, fantastic. She had the Vietnamese salad and REALLY enjoyed it.
We'll be back for sure.
Big Blue, I'm glad you posted Ocean Cafe. We, too, have been loving the Shrewsbury location (next to Le Peep). I understand they have another Ocean Cafe in LB.
We love the carrot ginger soup, mushroom soup, white bean vegetable soup. I like the chicken chili, but it is sweet and a bit goopy, so I mix it with lots of brown rice.
I LOVE the summer rolls. They are large. One roll serves as a light lunch for me. My favorites are the vegetarian roll and the tofu roll. The peanut dipping sauce is great.
We went once for dinner and they did table service. Entrees were very nice, but I think the soups and wraps really shine.
The cooking at Ocean Cafe is eclectic with lots of vegetarian options. The staff is always very nice and parking is plentiful. Eat in or take out.
