New York City in the New Year

Looking for a little chowhound advice. Heading to NYC in the new year with three girlfriends. We are looking to do one nice quality dinner. We are staying near central park. My friends are not chowhounders, but would appreciate something small plate or bistro style. Mid-range price, good service a must along with a fun atmosphere.

Any suggestions??

Thanks a bunch!

Central Park is a few miles long, half a mile wide and has hotels on the East/West/South sides. Give us a more specific address and what you consider "mid-range price" for out the door including drinks, over 8% tax and 15-20% tip per person. And Happy, Healthy New Year!

Andrews may be a good bet in midtown, with the $30 theatre prefix
