Synopses of Chow Videos, please
I doubt that I'm the only Chow user with a dial-up connection. As such, I cannot watch any video clips, and would appreciate it if the Chow Video links included a brief summary of the technique being demonstrated.

greyg, this request came up once before...regarding an audio interview with Pat/CH Mod. Another CH (forgive my memory over who did the hard work!) transcribed Pat's entire interview for fellow CH's to read/enjoy.
Your request is worthwhile for many who not only run dial up but for many who turn down the volume while checking in on CH from a work pc...

Hi greygarious,
When we put the videos onto their own pages, we do little intro paragraphs with short summaries about the videos themselves (for example: http://www.chow.com/stories/11456), but full transcripts are not quite possible considering the size of our video team. We try to make the videos very conceptual, so that notes and recipes aren't needed to remember the information presented--hopefully, we are presenting information that really works best in video. Hopefully down the line we will have the chance for closed captioning as we grow!
