Help with CHOW
I hope this does not go too public - I am new to sites? I do not know what a BLOG is? Is it information about myself that may be of interest to others or/& WHAT s a POST?? Are they not the same thing HLP PLEASE ! I am having MAJOR trouble trying to bring eg recipes, Newsletters (besides what comes into my mail) up onto my screen Thank you in advance to my predicament Is it because I'm in Sydney ? Krtystna welcome to chowhound...what we are doing here is posting ...we are basically messaging back and forth re topics. A blog is when someone has a web address and a running dialogue re certain topics. See www.bostonzest.com ( one of my favorites) You dont need to fill this field out in your profile if you dont have a personal blog ( I don't) . Your location in Sydney shouldnt affect your ability to use this site...just double click on what you want to view and you should be fine...happy Holidays and happy chowing

Thank you so much for your help Capeanne I hope you are having a great Christmas, you may have guessed Australia is ahead in time, here we are having another pubic holiday today its "BOXING DAY" 26th December Basically its just another day for us lazy Aussies to get the day off work & watch the big boats sail from Sydney Harbour to Hobart (at the bottom of Australia )It is now 1pm Friday "arvo" afternoon May you have a happy start & wonderful New 2009 Regards Krystyna

Help, please. I keep trying to see the wonderful recipes and all I can get are blank pages! I am logged on when trying. Any ideas? I have tried both ways to view the recipes and get blank pages both way. Thank you for any help you can give. My mouth is watering and I would love to make some of these for my family.

There have been some technical problems with the Recipe section. We'll notify the Engineering Team, but with the holidays, we can't tell you right now when they'll work again. We'll keep you updated if we learn anything though.

I am getting the recipe the first time but then when I go to see who posted it and go back all i get is a blank page and I can't get back to the recipe even if I restart my browser. Please advise.

Unfortunately, it seemed to stop working again yesterday, and we have notified the Engineering Team. In the meanwhile, if you log out, you should be able to access the recipes.

Saturday Jan. 3rd = I'm having the same "blank recipe" issue. I've had a few display correctly, but upon trying to view others, no luck. Just empty pages. I've tried both Safari and Firefox browsers... same problem with both.

Welcome from me as well. For recipes - there are two sources - the ones contributed by the editors at CHOW, at

and the ones shared and discussed by posters on the Home Cooking board:
