Looking for a good chinese restaurant in Landsdale, Collegeville area

elliewarren Dec 24, 2008 04:44 PM

ok...so the turkey is still frozen solid. Hubby and I decided to go out to eat for Christmas.
We don't want to travel downtown. We would like to stay in the area.....within 20-30 minutes.
We are sure there are only Chinese restaurants open. Any suggestions? We want good, quality food.

thanks so much in advance

For Chinese in our area, Abacus is the best. Its at Valley Forge Rd. (Rt. 363) and Sumneytown Pike in the shopping center with the Weis Market. Always excellent. Li Michael's Fuszion at Valley Forge Rd and Skippack Pike has never disappointed either.

I know that lots of CHs think Abacus is great - however, we're not in agreement with that opinion, having tried it more than a couple of times to make sure we were right in thinking it's just not good. I'd definitely go to LaiLai.

Would you travel to Royersford? Had dinner tonight at Veekoo Asian (www.veekooasiancuisine.com) and think it's very good. Another top-notch Asian restaurant is Han Dynasty (www.handynasty.net) in Royersford. This is their fairly new 2nd location; Exton is their original location.

We like LaiLai Garden on Route 202, just south of Route 73 in Blue Bell.

Japanese and Korean restaurants are most likely open too.

Honestly I've lived in Collegeville for 7 years and I haven't found a single Chinese restaurant that I would say has "exceptional" food. It's all decent, but nothing to write home about.
