Vegan in South Bay

SirEatsAlot Feb 1, 2004 10:19 PM

I recently tried Vegan Terra in San Pedro located on Western in the Terraces Mall under Trader Joes.

28901 S Western
Phone # 310-833-7977

The selection of entrees is diverse and the prices are reasonable. I highly reccomend the Shaolin Temple made with a Soy chicken substitute, vegetables and cashews served over brown rice. Also the Royal Burrito is an incredibly tasteful meal filled with fresh veggies and Tofu, topped with a Tofu based sauce. I am not a Vegetarian but found the food be very good.

Papillon in El Segundo is vegan-friendly.

There is/was Green Temple in South Redondo Beach. I haven't stopped by recently to see if it is still there. The menu is similar to The Spot only with more spiritual frobozz

If you're going to venture to Orange County, be sure to try Au Lac in Fountain Valley. As good or better than Wheel of Life in Irvine. I thought House of Vege in Lomita was good but not up to Au Lac or Wheel

Terra Bella, 1408 S. PCH in Redondo (was Lucky Monkey Espresso Bar) recently opened. Organic, raw vegan cuisine. Haven't been, but it sounds intriguing.
