Restaurant with a View

hoodalum97 Dec 24, 2008 05:42 AM

Hi All -

A friend is coming to visit from NYC over the holidays and would like to dine at a restaurant with a "view" in Baltimore. Does anyone have any recommendations.

The only place coming to mind right now is Rusty Scupper - is that place any good? I remember it being "The Spot" when I was kid - my parents went their on anniversaries etc....

Thanks and Happy Merry ChrismaHannuKwanzakah.

too bad you want maryland -- dc has Hotel Washington! (Rooftop view by the white house), and Tabaq (U-Street).

    Virginia has 2941.

    Hotel Washington
    515 15th Street NW, Washington, DC 20004

    Tabaq Bistro
    1336 U St NW, Washington, DC 20009

    2941 Restaurant
2941 Fairview Park Drive, Falls Church, VA 22042

Hotel Washington has been closed for months ... is becoming a W. Reports are rooftop dining will be enclosed ... unfortunate if true.

I have not been there myself, but I've been told that Pisces (In the Hyatt Regency) has a fantastic view.

Also, the top of the Belvedere Hotel has a bar with a great view of the city.

The Rusty Scupper is just fair, in my opinion.

I like the Rusty Scupper! The food is reliably good, but not surprising.

Pisces in the Hyatt does, indeed, have a grand view. haven't been there in ages. The food used to be quite reliably good, but pricey.

I agree with Denise regarding the Rusty Scupper. The food is quite good--nothing unusual or trendy.

I haven't been there, but Water Table in the Renaissance Hotel should offer a nice view.

Tabrizi's has an interesting menu and a fairly nice view. FoiGras

Pisces in the Hyatt is either closed or about to be closed. Definitely call first.

Pisces is closed. Watertable has an awesome view, the food is ok, and the service is attentive but a bit on the green side. Also, you could go to dinner then get drinks at a place with a view. The 13th Floor comes to mind.

Thanks everyone! I'll definitely look into those options! Merry Xmas and Happy New Year!

Great place to be on the water, with great food and service. They offer wine tasting on Wednesdays and ladies nights on Tuesdays. We had a great time!
