Looking for B & J's Pumpkin Cheesecake Ice Cream

I have just heard about a limited time Ben & Jerry's ice cream. It's Pumpkin Cheesecake, Has anyone seen it in the area? I hope it is still around. The "Flavor Locator" on the Ben & Jerry's website was no help. The flavor sounds good and I would like to try it.

I found mine about a week or maybe two ago at Pavillions here in Santa Monica. I looked at Vons before that, and they didn't have it. Haven't tried it yet, but good luck !

Just found a pint! I bought it at the Pavillions at Melrose & Vine in Hollywood. The ice cream is really good! Highly recommended!

I've never seen this stuff in stores but if you go to coldstone they will mix their pumpkin ice cream with their cheesecake ice cream, add some graham cracker crust and its pretty fantastic.

It wouldn't be difficult to make. To B&J Sweet Cream Base add some cream cheese, some puréed pumpkin and some pumpkin pie spice. Flavor everything just a tiny bit more intensely that you want in the finished ice cream because freezing will dull the flavor somewhat.

we actually did try making some, but didn't care for it; the pumpkin puree we used gave it a texture we didn't like..

Ah! I can see that the pumpkin would freeze hard, but I would have guessed that the cream cheese would offset that.

just in case you try it again, you can press the pumpkin puree through a fine sieve to take out the stringy pieces...

dang, looks like we missed the boat on that one! considering it's a limited time Fall flavor and it's now winter...

We've been searching for a good pumpkin ice cream. we used to get Dreyers (edy's) but now it's become one of their "fun flavors", which you will notice doesn't even say "ice cream" on the package, it says 'frozen dairy dessert'. the fun flavors are so pumped up with air they are like foam, and the first ingredient listed is "skim milk".

I remember there being a hagen daaz pumpkin at one time, but we haven't been able to find any...
