Honeymoon in Aruba

Hello.

My wife and I will be staying at the Hyatt in Aruba next month. I am seeking advice for some romantic dinners. We will not be renting a car.

We both enjoy seafood and steaks. I would like to take her to at least one French restaurant, and at least one restaurant the is either on the beach or very close to a beach.

Also, any good restaurants within walking distance from the Hyatt?

Thanks.

    1. I suggest you go to the Restaurant Reviews on www.arub-bb.com, www.aruba.com and www.visitaruba.com. I don't think Texas de Brazil is romantic but it is certainly good. The Hyatt actually has some decent restaurants. Casa Tua is right there but not very romantic although it is outside (good think crust pizza). I've put my thinking cap on - we have a car when there so I'm trying the walking angle - will get back to you but.... you really should go to those websites too.

I am a fan of Gasparitos, Mirandi and Chez Mathilde. I hear Old Man and the Sea is great. Flying Fishbones is tres romantic but so hit and miss.

          • If you aren't renting a car, Old Man and the Sea and the Flying Fishbone are out, unless you want to pay a pretty big taxi fare.

Car rentals are very cheap in AUA and driving is easy aside from the traffic jams in town.

You need to try El Gaucho. Their specialty is Argentinian beef. I have never had a better meal and it's very reasonably priced. My fiance and I are taking a special trip to Aruba in Feb just because of the restaurant. It's not a very romantic spot but a must when you go to Aruba
