Cremaillere - can we just get the ice cream?

I read good things about the ice cream. Is there a separate entrance or location apart from the restaurant? There really isn't much for me to eat at the restaurant (vegetarian) but I was hoping to try the ice cream!

I think I have seen it at Food Mart in Old Greenwich.

I've enjoyed it at their restaurant - perhaps if you call them, they can tell you where it's available?

Giovanni's Market on Old Long Ridge Road in Stamford sells it from time to time. I bought it there last Summer.

To my knowledge (I've only been there a couple of times) there isn't a separate area just for the ice cream. We used to buy it by the pint at Chappaqua Village Market though..

Do you mean to say that the ice cream, La Cremalliere that I see in the upscale stores is from the restaurant in Banksville? I had no idea!

Yes, I had forgotten about this, having read it here. I think I saw this ice cream at D'Agostino.

Now I'll have to look for it again.

            La Cremaillere in Banksville, really?

Darn, I never tried the ice cream there. Their escargot appetizer is to die for, so I might have to put them on my list for 2009.

I tried the ice cream a few years ago, (a bunch of different flavors)....sorry to say, I found them to be to sweet. The only one that I remember to be good was the chocolate, it was best when left out for a little while to soften.

Mrs. Greens USED to sell the ice cream, but sadly, no longer. Attached store finder from the restaurant's website.
