Much to my surprise, there was a specialty counter at Costco (Richmond) for Fra'Mani products. There were half mortadellas (huge) and whole soppressata and for those of us who would like to eat ten pounds of mortadella but can show some restraint, a person operating a meat slicer who will slice to order.

I bought some mortadella for the great price of $6.89 a pound.

The Fra'Mani pork liver pate that I saw a couple weeks ago were gone and replaced by Three Pigs.

This is definitely a Christmas event and I didn't think of asking if they would be back before New Year's Eve. Has anyone seen other specials out there?

We had the Trois Cochons "Saucisson Sec" that tasted like caraway seeds. The salami would have been acceptable with just the whole peppercorns, but the seeds were too much.

Was at the Novato Costco this past Saturday. Fra'Mani was there giving out samples of the mortadella, soppressata and pate. I ended up purchasing the pate and a pound of the soppressata.

Also there was:

1) Jimtown Store - dishing out samples of their spreads.
2) Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company - dishing out their Original Blue cheese and their blue cheese dressing. Had to buy their Original Blue.
3) O Olive Oil - offering bread bites to dip in their various olive oils and wine vinegars.

I spent far more time roaming the food aisles than I expected......vbg.
