Hi all, I have reservations at Quince and Ame this friday night, we are visiting from LA. Which would you recommend? Thanks!

Both are very good. Quince is Italian, unadventurous but delicious with the best pasta you will ever eat, and the other is Cal Fusion a bit adventurous and delicious with excellent crudos. If those descriptions don't make you prefer one over the other, you'd better flip a coin.

They are both excellent, it depends on what type of food you want and what atmosphere. Quince is a lot more intimate, with a mixed age crowd, Ame tends to be younger and somewhat noisier. Also, if you are staying in Union Square down through SOMA and want to have a leisurely walk, Ame is there. Quince requires some sort of transportation.
