I know this is a really old post but I just happened to have found it so, my dad actually use to work there so I had went there since I was old enough to eat solids and same goes for my siblings. I miss their food all the time. but no they did not relocate they closed. I know for sure there are a handful of the waiters back working in chinatown and about a handful in flushing. and Lalaove I dont know who your brother in law got the info from that the upcoming generation didnt want to run the business any more but that might be just half the story. from what I heard they lost alot of business because of one of the waiters couldnt keep him mouth shut and was constantly cursing and smoking when 1. there was families with small children and parents didnt like the fact that he cursed all the time really loud and 2. he was always smoking inside the resturant while customers were eating.

I, too (along with the rest of my family), was devastated when I realized New Lok Kee was no more. My family are long time devotees as well dating back to the Sun Lok Kee days. I've been eating there since I was in a high chair! My brother in law actually tracked down the son's owner and asked him what happened. Apparently, the restaurant was family owned and the upcoming generation was not so interested in running a restaurant. Can't blame them, it's a hard business. So long New Lok Kee, you are missed.
