Recent meal at Di Fara

Hey there,

I ate at Di Fara a few days ago for the first time in this current return home and there was an interesting little problem. While everything was great, the wait was non-existent despite it being a Friday (due to snow from hell of course), and it looked normal enough (minus the new cash register.) The problem was the lack of buffalo mozzarella on the pie. I asked his daughter about it and she said their fridge is currently out (which it is) but I was wondering if anyone noticed this recently. Have they sneakily stopped putting a whole one on each pie? It makes a BIG difference in the apparent quality of the finished product.

  1. Hi J. I was there on thursday last week and the square was perfect. Sublime in fact. All cheeses in tact, and sauce as well rounded as ever. Dom also seemed in unusually good spirits. I also noticed fewer people on line.

    1. You mean just short on buff mozz or the buff/fior mix in total?
I hope it is not subpar this week.
Also hope the wait is non-ex as both of you have stated in recent visits.
And if they pick up the phone to take an order, even better, though I realize that is asking a lot.
Anyone ever tried leaving a message for an order on the machine when they don't pick up?
Any help to get the order called in is appreciated.

        Careful with trusting the phone.
I asked Dom's daughter about phone orders and she said: "we do what we can". That might mean 'maybe yes maybe no' to phone orders.

Thanks for the heads up. Worst case if they don't have it done, it is the same time as just going and ordering, so no loss there.
          What about the answering machine?

I think you should totally disregard the machine, as if it was saying "sorry, you have to come in".

Well, I didn't do it last time I called.
And I would not expect it to work but I just hoped against hope that maybe
              someone else had.

Here is to the even more important hope that I don't go through the whole rigmarole for a subpar pie.
