Christmas Day dinner for family
Hello all,
I'm taking the family to NOLA for an Xmas trip, and wanted to get some dinner suggestions for the 25th, preferably near the FQ. We'll have our two kids (9-14) and wanted to find something festive and not too pricey (hopefully in the $50 pp range). I've gotten a few suggestions from other posts on this forum, but wasn't sure if any restaurants catered to kids. The kids don't have to have chicken strips or mac 'n cheese, but I'm not really interested in buying them a pre fixe dinner that features trout or duck @ $60!
I will be calling some of the restaurants this week to see about the kids (and availability!), but would appreciate this forum's suggestions.
Thanks in advance, and Merry Christmas!

We're going to be there for Christmas and opted for the brunch at 5 Fifty 5. It's only $40 for adults and has a menu that sounds great and it has something for everyone. They have an 11:30, 1:30, and 3:30 seating. Here is the link to the menu....

From what I've read on other posts on this same topic (just search this board for "Christmas"), many places are closed on the 25th, and those that are open, especially the classic ones with the Reveillon menus, fill up well in advance - as in, weeks ago. Try the hotels, or also check online to see what's at opentable.com. I'd call asap, though - would not wait til "later this week" at this point.
