Brown Sugar closing!!
After living in the Boston area for about 12 yrs, I was back visiting two weekends ago to see friends. We returned to my favorite thai place in Boston, only to discover that they are closing before the end of the yr. I was so thrilled to get one more great, reasonably priced meal at this wonderful little neighborhood thai place. They will be missed.

Website says Fenway location only.

According to Santiago at Trattoria Toscana they lost their lease for the Jersey Street location. Let's hope they find a place nearby.

I had heard about this several weeks back (then totally forgot--thanks for reminding me!). boston.everyblock.com as well as the Brown Sugar site itself had been mentioning this as far back as mid-November. I had seen this link a few months ago and wasn't sure what it meant. If anyone knows, I'd be interested to hear!

And yes, the Comm. Ave. location as well as their other restaurant (The Similans in Cambridge) will remain open.

i'm partial to the Comm Ave Brown Sugar, myself. I worked close to the Jersey St. location a couple of years ago and had many sub-par meals.
