Nicolosi Bakery Closed?

I stopped by today and they were closed! The store still has all the displays and cases, but they were definitely closed. It looks like they just locked the door behind them one night after cleaning up.

Anyone got some news?

      Sad news.
      I went in about a year ago for cannolis, and it was like stepping back into my childhood in NYC.

      They don't make places like this anymore, and there aren't that many left.

        I feel your pain, when Sarno's closed about 8 years ago, I was devastated. That was my childhood place. I then learned about Nicolosi and Eagle Rock Italian Bakery and enjoyed both. I guess you got Eagle Rock Italian Bakery, Monte Carlo, Bay Cities & Sorrentos left. I would mention Claros but the are more than baked goods and deli and I think some of the baked goods come from ERIB and other places. Ciao Ciao
