Can I pick up Lyles Golden Syrup locally, and not have to order on the internet? Looking for a place in the East Bay.

I've bought it at the Star Grocery on Claremont in Berkeley.

Yeah, it's around. I've even see it at a supermarket, although I couldn't tell you off the top of my head which one(s). But the first place I'd look would be Cost Plus/World Market.

I've seen it at a supermarket, too but I don't go to Cost Plus much. I'm thinking I bought it at maybe Berkeley Bowl.

Yes, Cost Plus has it. They're a bit crowded these days with Xmas rush.

The Pasta Shop carries it (both 4th St. and Rockridge locations).

The Junket deli in El Cerrito probably has it. That's where I bought my last can.

Call the Piedmont Grocery in Oakland. I.m pretty sure they have it.

Does anyone know where I can find this in Marin County?

As noted above, Cost Plus carries it, and there's one in Greenbrae.

Further north in Sonoma County, G&G Market has it at the Santa Rosa and Petaluma stores. In San Francisco, Fresh & Easy has it, too.

I purchased a metal tin of the stuff at Andronicos. I find it remarkable, it has a ferrous and salty quality in addition to the sweetness that goes really nicely on acme pain epis with sweet butter, washed down with cafe au lait or hot chocolate.
