A Christmas card to the board
You have all saved my hide with thorny food problems this last year.
I had to make a lunch for 120 (that was a treat) and have just had general questions.
I am so grateful for your knowledge and kindness.
Merry Christmas

I know what you mean, dutch. People here are so generous with advice, encouragement, knowledge and sharing their own recipes. I've also been the beneficiary of their kindness in a way I probably couldn't express.
You're very thoughtful to put up this note and remind us all what a great resource we have here, together. I hope you have a lovely, happy Christmas and I wish the same to all our friends here at CH.

I was getting so bored with cooking a few years back, and now I'm renewed. I have more new recipes than old at this point. Bolognese lasagna for Christmas for example, and almost half of my Christmas cookies are not only new but sublime (Rum Raisin Shortbread, World Peace Cookies, Chocolate Gingerbreads, Lemon Stars). Thanks to all for my new lease on life!

I got a Christmas card years ago with "Visualize Whirled Peas" on it. I loved it. I took World Peace cookies into work today along with booze balls. Some were rum and the bottles of Bourbon and 12 yr. old scotch were next to each other. I don't know which I used, but they were/are tasty.
To those of you who don't know World Peace Cookies, a must know, Google up World Peace Cookies. Dorie Greenspan's recipe is at Lynn Rosetto Caspar's Splendid Table website. I can't imagine a world without them. They are a major necessity at any time of the year.
Merry Christmas to all.
