Driving from Bakersfield to Walnut Creek-Food along the way

I am actually driving from LA to Bakersfield then to Walnut Creek. Seeing I am driving, I can dictate the stops for food. Any must stop places along that route? I am looking for breakfast, lunch and dinner recommendations (dinner in Bakersfield).

I like Woolgrowers for Basque dining in Bakersfield and I've been meaning to try the Noriega Hotel.
Murray Family Farms near Bakersfield is one of the better roadside produce places I've tried in California.

I agree that Woolgrowers is a good place, I like both Benji's (dinner) and Woolgrowers (lunch). I offer Benji's as a convenient location just off the "99". Haven't been to Noriega's.

You know you've mentioned that before and for the life of me I don't why I can't remember it. I guess it's because its been a while since 'I've been there. They used to make a roasted garlic soup that was out of this world. For me, the beginning would start with some Ouzo and water. last time I was there, they didn't have any Ouzo, which I thought was strange. I've tried to figure out how to remake the Turkish Salad they serve, but I can't get all the favors recognized. I'm going to try and list them more often.
