Small Italian Gem

jfmirabella Dec 19, 2008 05:19 AM

Last night my family and I found an Italian oasis in Brooklyn. We got lost in Williamsburg and stumbled into La Piazetta on Graham Avenue. What a surprise. Who would have known that this sleepy gem was so excellent. With Ambiance, Music, Friendly Service and Authentic Italian, Chef Francisco, ex of the Rainbow Room, made magic for us. Menu changes often but the Chef will prepare anything one requests. I can't wait to go back.

How would you know if the menu changes often when you've only been to this place once?

Chef Francisco bought us a drink after the meal and mentioned it. The Menu is small and I inquired about the changes. I quess economics forces him to be limited.

I agree that 7 primi and 10 secondi do not constitute a small menu.

The Menu has changed but I enjoyed the Hot Seafood Antipasto, Orso Bucco of Lamb and
Fried Baccala. My Son had the Tuna and it was dry. All in all 4 people with wine and tip was $150.00

FYI, their brunch is to be avoided. It is not good and the service is very slow. I have not been there for dinner. Most folks in the neighborhood prefer La Locanda, one block down.
I'm glad you had a good experience.
