Party-dress date restaurants in Koreatown/Silverlake/Mid-Wilshire for tonight?

I want to wear a party dress too! I see that someone had the same post a few days ago, but for the OC. I want to wear my party dress in LA. Does anyone have a suggestions for a dinner-date spot where a man can wear a dress shirt and a woman can wear a short, fun dress?

Something in the Mid-Wilshire/Koreatown/Silverlake area would be best, but we'd drive a little bit for some good eats.

  1. Palate in Glendale, probably will not allow your dress in on short notice, although the wine bar is first come.
Water Grill downtown, a man can wear a shirt, tie and jacket and not feel out of place.
Church and State downtown (assuming it's better now that Manzke is the chef) the shirt should be designer. On Industrial around 7th and Alameda

    Water Grill
544 South Grand, Los Angeles, CA 90071

    Palate Food & Wine
933 South Brand Blvd, Glendale, CA 91204

    1. Find someone to take you to the City Club on Bunker Hill. It's a private dining club that requires jackets and ties for gentlemen. Same for the Jonathan club. The benefit of the City Club is that you have views that can't be beat... it is on the 54th floor of the Wells Fargo building downtown. Floor to ceiling windows in all the rooms. Food is really good and service is private club great.
