Dinner between LaGuardia and JFK?

Hope you NYC Chowhounds can help.

We'll be transferring between LGA and JFK with 6 hours to spare before headed to London. Any recommendations for, maybe, Greek or Italian between LaGuardia and JFK? We'll need to cab it, so I'd prefer to stay close to the route and not go too far afield.

I see the discussion re: Greek restaurants in Astoria, and I think that could work -- even if it's a little bit in the other direction -- but anything else to suggest?

One of the best Italian Restaurants is located near Kennedy. Don Pepe"s Vesuvio, 135-58 Lefferts Blvd is excellent.

I think the appetizers at Piccola Venezia are their strong point. Have aps and skip the entrees. Entrees are totally forgettable. Basically, I think the restaurant is highly overrated.

im a big fan of apps at virtually every retstaurant including pic ven, also their pastas, and fish ..i dont think theiyre over rated..what italian places in 212 718 do you rate high big bird and why? thx
