One of their salad/wrap franchises recently opened here, and I am trying it for lunch tomorrow. Any recommendations? What's good there?

I think it's fine for what is is. I got the 10-veggie salad and it was quite large, though there was nothing particularly exciting about it. If you haven't already, give it a try. Hey, if you don't like it, you're only out about $5-10.

I tried the one in Scottsdale and found it woefully lame. The interior is sparse, clinical and cold. Minimalist in a bad way...or they just expended their whole budget before they finished. Fresh ingredients but lame combinations and flavorless dressings. The ordering process is very strange. In my opinion, it has zero redeeming value.

There is a similar concepted in Tucson called Chopped (I think) which executes the "get the salad how you want it" concept way better than Tossed.

Tossed Off is a better option, and it's free.

funny -- that's the one I tried last week and I thought it was very good. Fresh ingredients, and huge quantities. I'm looking forward to going back.

For me, it wasn't about the food (which was fine, albeit average)....I found the whole experience to be very clinical and sterile. The salads were fine but I think that a place that specializes in salads could do better with their dressings.

Just my $0.02. I thought it was okay, but have no need to return.
