Good restaurant along NY Thruway heading west

I will be driving across New York on the NY Thruway (going west) on Christmas day. Would love recommendations for somewhere good to eat dinner. Doesn't have to be fancy or gourmet -- I just want something better than fast food, chain restaurants or greasy spoons. Ideally somewhere not more than 20 miles off the thruway. Timing-wise I'll probably be between Albany and Rochester midday to late afternoon. Thanks and happy holidays!
