Tampa restaurants?

We are attending a college BBall game at the USF Sun Dome in Tampa during the first week in January. Looking for some good chowhound recommendations prior to the game.

Is the dim sum at Ho Ho Choy served from carts or from the menu?

from the menu- but Chopstix is in the same plaza and seems to be getting good reviews on their dim sum.

who cares? all the hot items just get cold on the carts. and they have a live shrimp tank. try the little buggers in the lo mein.

I don't care. I thought the OP did. I can honestly say I have never had dim sum from a cart.

If you are looking for Dim Sum on a cart, go to TC Choy's Asian Bistro on S. Howard Ave. Tampa.

They always arrived cold on the cart at TC Choy's, at least for me.

I recommend Ho Ho Choy on Fletcher in the same strip mall as Chopstix, for dim sum.

indian food: Angithi on Fowler or even The Taj, they both have buffets for lunch but I find the Taj to be more spicy so it depends what you like.
Veit food: Trang VIet also on fowler
Jamaican food: Jerk Hut on Fowler

These are places that are delicious and also affordable. They're also right around the USF area.

I concur. These are the 3 best places on Fowler IMO!
