Restaurants in SF with Communal Tables?

c
casualgal Dec 17, 2008 05:02 PM

I'd like to compile a list of restaurants that have a communal table to try with friends in 2009. Any restaurant type is great- high end or low end. Thanks in advance to you all.

anybody know if bar tartine split up their communal table? it used to be parked up front, right in the window, but it isn't anymore.

Here's a SF Gate article with list: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article...

There's also the picnic tables at Taqueria Cancun.

When did Sociale add a communal table? The restaurant's so small I'm not sure where they would put it.

I don't think so - I've been in Sociale recently. Always like to see them get recommended, it's a favorite place, but can't imagine a communal table there.

It's right inside the door. It seats six to eight people.

slanted door has a glass room in the back that has a communal/banquet table. it's a cool space that looks out onto the main dining room. a16 has a similar setup in the back. i've been to both and recommend them both. you'll need to work out your reservations ahead of time.
