Grocery Store in Lafayette, IN

Hello, I will be in Lafayette for X-Mas and will be cooking up a feast. I haven't lived there for a while so I don't know where the best place is to shop. If I need something that is usually only found at upscale markets, where is the best place to look? Also, where is the best place to buy a duck? Thanks!

Your options are probably marsh, payless (now kroger), and big box stores. There are some asian stores on chauncey hill and a few great mexican stores near 52. Idk what you mean by upscale market. The local supermarkets have passable organic produce sections. I have never seen a duck in the area, but really I haven't looked. D&S at 26 and creasy would probably have one. They seem to cater to the local-business-loving petty bourgeois. From my experience, you will pay dearly for your frozen bird. Target would probably have one wrapped in attractive packaging for even more money. I'd just go with loss leader turkey or ham, or maybe some vegan and frugal rice and beans. Or just fast, as I plan.
