Help - Need Suggestions for Dinner Party in Orange County

My fiancee and I are going to have a small wedding celebration / dinner party in a few weeks with about a dozen of our closest friends. We are strapped for cash and need to find a place that's fairly reasonable because our guests will be paying for themselves. I personally would like to find a place that has a private area for our group, seeing as we might get a little rowdy, but any suggestions would be most welcome and greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

  1. If it's not booked already, you may want to inquire with the Clubhouse in Costa Mesa - they have private rooms of all sizes. Not sure what your budget is however.

    1. You could reserve the big table at Shin Sen Gumi. It's like it's own part of the restaurant and you can get pretty rowdy in there and virtually go unnoticed.

      1. Not sure that economizing and private room are ever a good fit. For the two occasions where I hosted a party in a private room I chose Antonello in South Coast Plaza Village and both were great experiences.

        1. Eva's in Laguna Beach. Carribean food, laid-back colorful atmosphere and they will arrange a deal for a large party. No private room, but the place is small and you may be able to take it over. It's not "fancy", but it's good for a party.

Eva's is a great idea! I live up the hill from this place in South Laguna on PCH. You could do some beach photo opps before dinner across the road, go a little north to table rock road, there is a stairway down to the beach, nice waves splashing on rocks. good luck!
