Where to buy caramel apples

I wanted to buy a friend a caramel apple - does anyone know of where I can buy one? I saw one in the Williams-Sonoma catalog, but it is only for mail order.

Its a chain, but Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is the most prolific caramel apple distributor. I am sure there are some outposts in the area.

Thanks for reminding me. There is one in Fisherman's Wharf. Nearby on Pier 39 Fudge House has caramel apples also. I have read that while Fudge House has more varieties, the apple itself is tastier at Rocky Mountain.

Charles Chocolates makes those caramel apples for Williams Sonoma. Sometimes they carry them in the shop I think. You might give them a call. They are in Emeryville. How far will you travel? I know a source in Napa.

They did look fantastic when I was at Charles', but I'm not sure they sell them at the outlet. They're just there to torture you.
