prix fixe or a la carte at Monday Room?

We're meeting friends for an evening at Monday Room. Which is the better option -- the tasting menu or ordering a la carte? (And if the latter, are there specific recommendations of things to get?) Note: changing the plans and going elsewhere is not an option so I need posts that specifically help with Monday Room options. Thanks!

  1. I would go for the eel, foie, and beef tongue. I'm not sure what is on the 5 course tasting, but I've heard you can make substitutions if you wish.
