Best Fruit Flavored Semi Dark Beer?

Is there such a beer? How much?

Kasteel Rouge -- a Belgian brown ale made with cherries. Look for it in both small and 750ml bottles. Or, if you're lucky, on tap.

Russian River Consecration & Supplication come to mind.

Great Divide Wild Raspberry is excellent, as is Lost Coast Raspberry Brown.

does anyone know of a place online to order these fruit flavored beers? I live in California and they really don't have much as far as fruit flavored beers

There's a nice list of a lot of the well-known beer shippers here http://onlinebeerstores.homestead.com... but you'll have to search the individual stores for brands and other particulars. Note that the expense of shipping beer will often double the total cost.

          I like Dogfish's Black & Blue.

If you're not limited to dark beers, you should check out Unibroue's Ephemere. If you can find it, Cantillon's Saint Lamvinus is an incredible beer made with wine grapes.

Dogfish Head's Raison D'Etre is a marvelous beer.

What do you mean by semi dark beer? What style are you looking for?

Ommegang's Three Philosophers comes to mind; rather subtle cherry flavor, very delicious.

Any others don't have to be dark but I love a fruit based beer, thanks!

New Glarus Rasberry Tart and Wisconsin Belgian Red are by far the best fruit beers I've ever tried. Dogfish Aprihop was a pretty good fruity beer but their asberry beer (Fort) was not very impressive.

I received a bottle of the WI Belgian Red via trade on BA, man was that an AWESOME beer.

So you both liked the Belgian Red? My husband and I sought it out (not sold in our area), and we were really disappointed! We both thought it tasted a lot like Juicy Juice...and we'd heard so many rave reviews, so we were disappointed. I thought it was exceptionally sweet...maybe I was expecting something different? Or maybe we got a bad bottle?? Any thoughts? Because normally I'm a fruit beer fan, and I REALLY wanted to like this one.

RosemaryHoney: So what do you like for the flavored beers? Thanks

Yeah, Belgian Red is disgustingly sweet. Probably the single biggest beer disappointment of my life so far. I generally like New Glarus stuff, but I couldn't even manage a 4 oz. pour of that one.
