  1. Er, what do you exactly mean by "the City"???

    1. Los Angeles. Preferably BH, West Hollywood or Hollywood but I am open

      1. Oriolan is offering a great one but pricey.

        Ortolan
        8338 W. 3rd Street, Los Angeles, CA 90048

        1. Lawry's on La Cienega if you can still get in.

          1. Cut, Jar, Lucques, Musso and Frank, Campanile, STK, Spago.

            1. Providence is doing a lovely "traditional" Italian Christmas Eve dinner.

              1. For the past decade I've taken the wife and four kids to The Pacific Dining Car on Wilshire on the westside. Wonderful atmosphere and great food. Bring you wallet.

                1. Patina and the Patina Group restaurants are having Christmas Eve dinners.

Yes, although you might just be better off scrounging through a garbage can ... you can eat better AND save your money!

Sorry, but I cannot even begin to assert how strongly I feel that Splichal and the Patina Group are overrated.

                  2. The Belvedere at the Peninsula Hotel - $125, 6 pm seating.

                    1. Sorry to say that I've only done drinks there, but the Bel Air Hotel bar is MAGICAL on Christmas Eve. Romantic. Quiet. Old Fashioned. One of my favorite places on that night....
