Substitute for Pimm's No. 3 ("Pimm's Winter")?

On a recent trip to London, Mrs. Webhund became addicted to the wonderful hot punch made with 3 parts apple cider to 1 part "Pimm's Winter" (which is also called "Pimm's No. 3). My googling has discovered that, unlike Pimm's No. 1, which is a gin-based liquor, Pimm's No. 3 is a brandy-based drink with cinnamon, orange, and caramel.

Alas, Pimm's No. 3 is not exported to "the Colonies," so I'm going to have to come up with my own substitute. The orange and cinnamon I can handle, but the caramel has got me stumped.

Any suggestions for a Pimm's No. 3 substitute recipe?

  1. Why does the caramel have you stumped? It's pretty simple; effectively you put some sugar in a pan and heat it up, and after a while it becomes caramel. Google it... Or search Chow; there are probably a few caramel recipes on this site.

    1. And there are lots of caramel liqueurs.

      1. It appears that the Drinks Shop in london will ship to the US and they have Pimm's#3 shown as available on their website.
