Tastings in St. Petersburg closed??

I went over to Tastings wine bar in St. Pete last night to find it totally closed up! They had removed all of their signage and everything. I was there less than a month ago and there was no indication that they were closing or going out of business, so needless to say I was kind of surprised. Does anyone know if they are closed for good or maybe just relocating? I know that the Baywalk property has gone into foreclosure, so I was hoping that maybe they were just moving, but there was no indication of this at the storefront. Anyone have anymore info on this?

  1. I don't know their status, but they took the signage down on Saturday, Dec. 6. I walked passed it on the way to the Saturday Morning Market and the signage was still up. On the way back to my car, I noticed that they were in the process of taking everything down.
I visited the website and did not find any news about the closing, other than they have removed it from the list list of locations.

I don't think they located. If you google tasting you will find their website and it will give you a list of locations. I liked the place, I went down their a couple of weeks ago because I had no idea they closed down.

    2. Can't say this is a surprise. I've only been twice (both a disappointment) and both times the place was empty. Great concept just not executed well.

      1. I loved the place but couldn't get over there too often from Tampa. I still have a card with $ remaining on it. Guess I'll have to go to Orlando. Maybe someone will open a franchise in Tampa- preferably somewhere with parking.

one opened in Fort Myers at the Gulf Coast Center. Its nice but its easy to spend a lot of money tasting wine. The mark up is high.
