Dickson's Farmstand Meats - anyone tried them?

goodhealthgourmet Dec 14, 2008 08:33 AM

apparently all the meat is sourced directly from local NY farmers. they have stands at the Park Slope & Morningside farmers' markets, and you can now place orders on their web site for pickup at the markets.

anyone had experience with them?

Yes. His meats are superb. I actually ordered a Berkshire ham from him for Christmas. He also updates his site with information about that week's meats. Not only the cuts he has in stock but the quality, marbling, and farm as well.

I'll report back about the ham. His porterhouse has been superb everytime.

thanks for the response - i was pretty impressed by the website and their offerings but i wanted a first-hand review from a fellow CHer. i'm in Jersey, but if the product is really that good i may have to place an order one of these days.
